The solar eclipse in Aquarius on February 15 2018 is an important cosmic event in all our lives, marking a new phase with a six-month validity. How will it affect you?
March 21-April 20
Even if you have a fetish for bondage, you shall refuse to be tied down. Your ebullience could drive many in your circle to distraction – but who cares? Enjoy it! This is mainly because ruler Mars is now in Sagittarius in the house of Sagittarius, so long-distance travel, education, publishing or reaching into new territory will be your main drive. You’re more likely to launch a legal action if applicable. You’re more ethical than hedonistic at this time. As for the solar eclipse, this ushers in a new episode which focuses on how you’re serving society – whether this be in humanitarian, political or even business activities. The basic message is: spread the word, don’t hold back. Nothing will be achieved by hiding anything under a bushel. Take an independent line, and expect the unexpected opportunity to thrive.
April 21-May 21
“Your reputation precedes you….” It’s a hackneyed line but like most clichés is rooted in a truth. Pace of life is often determined by what people think of you, based on the kind of gossip you generate. Talent alone is rarely enough to get you to a desired destination. This month provides a chance to tell the world something major about yourself, through words spoken, actions done. Potential prize is career promotion or a new work or social responsibility. How well this goes depends on the extent to which there’s a readiness to break with tradition or past old habits. In work life, do not fear management initiatives that seem to edge on novelty, and make the most of social events to pick up on what’s not being said. If I said that it pays ‘to creep’, this is not the same thing as being a creep. Tread carefully so you miss nothing that lurks in the professional undergrowth.
May 22-June 21
That’s right, fill those lungs with fresh air (or at least aircon air), preferably in a place that has a green horizon and the musical sough from trees. This is not just about the ‘good life’ or taking time out for a country ramble. Something about the Gemini spirit requires space, freshness, the promise of a virgin location – and you can take that to mean anything you like! Beyond deep fresh breaths, life itself is calling on you to expand and grow into a new situation, the theme of your solar eclipse this month. Keep mind open to inventive or pioneering business ideas, to holding to ideals in the commercial world and maximising your social power so those on your wave-length tune in. Someone is calling on you to join a venture. It looks most good.
June 22-July 22
It’s tempting just to talk about the financial or partnership issues in your life because at least these are practical. But what’s the underlying process driving you to do? What’s the point of direction? Cancerians (more than any other sign) are focused on inner transformations at this time, in small and big ways. Deepened spiritual faith could be one manifestation; questioning a lover’s commitment, could be another. The thing you wish to grasp is the truth of something so that progress can be made. Anything less and what’s the point? Something shared becomes a big topic under the February solar eclipse. You are encouraged to speak openly, and think beyond parameters other people may set you. Professionally, there’s an opportunity to consider – and this comes to you because authority figures sense that you’re evolving. Ready for more.
July 23-August 23
Solar eclipses are not always constructive. But this February’s one is actually beneficial. Recent times may have felt ‘heavy’ what with Saturn and Pluto in your house of work and health – there may be a sense of relentlessness about daily life. This month brings a raised opportunity to strengthen those bonds that enable you, but also to part company with people who simply do not help. The chart indicates that you should err towards those who challenge you the most in a constructive way – through education, perhaps or through travel. You are ready to be ‘taught’ something. Overseas influences are prominent, and remember that this includes Internet contacts these days. Just remember that you are not alone but in a partnership of sorts. More knowledge will feed the union, business or intimate.
August 24-September 22
Someone has to tell you, so here goes: it’s time for a revamp. A makeover. You need to be re-upholstered, repaired, refreshed. Recent dramas have taken their toll. Jadedness comes after the blitzkrieg of soap opera. Remember, Virgo is a nervy sign; you were not really made for relentless, mindless drama. At some point you have no choice but to take a seat and consciously uncouple yourself from others’ stupidity. Spas are the best place for this but sanctuary can be found anywhere that is not the centre of life theatrics. Once you’ve found WiFi-free space to unwind and reflect, sip moringa (Google it) to extend your life; and do stop saying “namaste” when you really don’t mean it. Get authentic, organic. Oh, have you heard of “moon-sound baths”? Yes you can track your own lunar cycles for more targeted predictions.
September 23-October 23
Love is in the air – which makes a change. With your solar eclipse in the house of pleasure, it must be assumed that love (or its imitations) fills you with joy. But with Uranus (planet of the unexpected) in the house of relationships, linking to the eclipse, could it be that you are about to surprise your world by entering into a bond that defies all expectation or assumption? Or that an existing relationship takes a turn that causes eyes to widen or swivel in amazement? Joining a nudists’ colony? Marriage!? His/hers/its ‘n’ hers/his/its tattoos of (omg) llamas? These are just examples, but you get the drift. Certainly, you must follow your heart and once committed make sure no one’s left in any doubt as to your fortitude. The astrological aspects for these developments are most happy. And if a relationship is not applicable to you, then your work of passion is stimulated by weirdo creatives you never thought were your sort at all. What an odd month.
October 23-November 22
Behind that glacial façade of yours beats a deep pumping heart, so often assailed by family contretemps and mishaps. It’s the price of being sensitive. “Oh the pain, the pain”, as Dr Zachary Smith (yes, the actor who played him, Jonathan Harris, was a Scorpio) of the Sixties sci-fi series Lost In Space used to wail. Happily, no need to wail this month. Changes are afoot in the family/home sphere, triggered by some surprises at work or in daily routines. Though these may not be initially welcome, the chart suggests that a sorting-out is beneficial and should be used to instigate alterations that are necessary. If this process is not completed this month then watch the next six months as events urge you to address loved ones (or alternatively, domestic refurbishments) to bring the order (or décor) you require.
November 23-December 21
What is it that the mighty guru in you wishes to teach the world? You have a message to impart, but what could it be? How Fanny Cradock was the best TV cook ever? Probably something more edifying. The solar eclipse this month puts you in a teacherly role, though this need not be in (most probably is not) a school. A clue lies in the placement of Uranus. It is in the house of pleasure and personal passion. So, something you care about immensely is your topic of teaching. Be confident that the cosmos is strengthening your communication skills with talk-planet Mercury merged with the eclipse: that’s quite some lesson you’re preparing. But of course, beware ‘pupils’ bearing apples.
December 22-January 20
With Saturn now in the sign it rules (which happens to be Capricorn) you are super-primed to make some important practical decisions, and not just this month. The February solar eclipse, which reigns over the next six months, draws your attention to vital changes required to be made in your domestic life and this involves the question of finance. Naturally, you’re assuming the worst; but this is uncalled for. Life is going to give you some help as a new income or assets phase commences that greatly favours home development – even a residential move. Alternatively, unexpected happenings at home play to a financial advantage. Uranus is about to set you free of something, if not already – but another possibility is that an inspired idea alters your perspective on income. There’s all to play for.
January 21-February 19
Lucky you. The solar eclipse occurs in Aquarius, and this one is not to be missed. For you it brings opportunity, this month and/or over the next half year, for personal development, especially if you have felt thwarted or tied down in recent times. The more willing you are to stretch yourself, the better able you are to take full advantage of the cosmic push. Life will meet you half way. The specific areas that especially benefit from this influence lie in reaching out to others, sales, teaching and all media. Even if your area of focus does not immediately fit into these categories, there will be some feature that calls on your gift to communicate to or enlighten a given audience. Do not underestimate the power of the internet to play its part in your glory. Stay very alert. And do listen to gossip!
February 20-March 20
“Going underground…” goes the song. The power of Pisces, this month and over the next six months, lies beneath or behind or below. What? Whatever. To get what you need, most probably more money, you need to play another game, one that may come naturally to you, because the eclipse takes place in the chart domain of Pisces. Power derives from a secret, from behind closed doors, from confidential information, from following inner promptings. Beware making bold statements or involving yourself in others’ open feuds. A financial opportunity is in the offing provided you maintain a low profile or keep mouth shut – certainly something in your life asks you to be discreet. It sounds quite a challenge. Yet Pisceans are capable of the subtlest of games-playing.
