If you’re looking for a delicious getaway, follow the Green & Black’s colourful vintage van to Bath! The team of chocolatiers is touring all the local foodie hotspots in the UK to create some yummy organic chocolate twists on local recipes. This month Green & Black’s Taste Specialist, Brandt Maybury, has joined foodie hero Laurence Swan of the legendary Bath Bun Shop in the kitchen. The result? A scrumptious organic chocolaty spin to the local Bath Bun recipe, Bathonians’ favourite treat. Just head to Old Bond Street on 18 September to be among the first to ever taste it!
Ever wanted to spend a day riding a tractor, hunting your own Halloween pumpkin and challenging your friends at apple bobbing? You can do this and much more at the Harvest Festival at the organic Daylesford farm in the Costwolds on Saturday 26th September. Activities include honey tasting, organic burgers and sausages barbecue, onion string making and apple juicing. Daredevils can also attend beekeeping lessons or hop onto a tractor and pick up a Daylesford Harvest balloon. Free entry from 10am to 4pm. And for those who won’t want to go home an organic, delicious supper will be served at the farm café from 7pm.
The art world are creating astonishing, one-of-a-kind pieces to help women who survived war in Nigeria and Iraq. She Inspires Art, an exclusive evening of installation and performance art in aid of Women for Women International, will showcase the work of internationally renowned artists such as Kohei Nawa and art performances from stars like Amanda Coogan. After a drink reception with canapés, you will be treated first to an exquisite dinner and then to a live auction with collection pieces by artists including Etel Adnan, Zaha Hadid and Idris Khan. She Inspires Art will take place at Bonhams’ flagship saleroom in New Bond Street, London on 16th September.
Art lovers can’t miss the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair, one of the most distinguished international showcase for art, antiques, design and decorative arts. More than 20,000 first-time buyers and established collectors are expected to attend after the big success of last year edition. This year, 105 expert dealers in the fields of jewellery, design, furniture, antiquities, silver and fine art will take part. Among the new exhibitors are Horton London, who will show quality jewellery from late 18th century to the present day and De Parma, who will exhibit a collection of 20th century design and British artworks of the post-war years. The LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair will take place in Berkeley Square, London from 22nd to 27th September. Prices range from £500 to £500,000 and above.
