The Cinema Museum is the Secret London Home of Charlie Chaplin.

Hidden away in the heart of historical Kenington lies London’s best kept secret . The Cinema Museum is one of the great remaining historical gems in London, a beautiful historic place devoted to keeping alive the spirit of cinema from the days before the multiplex. Forget fluorescent lights and sticky seats, transport yourself back to the golden days of Hollywood with the Cinema Museum‘s classic decor and packed program of films and events.

This secret Cinema Museum is  not just any picture house, it is also home to a treasure trove of movie memorabilia. The museum’s collection encompasses every aspect of going to the movies, from the architecture and fittings of cinemas themselves to marketing materials. This secret cinema is located in the old Lambeth Workhouse, the place where Charlie Chaplin himself spent time as a child. It seems only fitting that the cinema holds an amazing collection dedicated to the silver screen comedic genius himself.

Thriving with originality, life and silver screen history, the Cinema Museum is a must see wonderland for any film buff.

A secret so good that we almost want to keep it to ourselves. EH is a huge fan, as you can see from a taste of our alluring fashion feature with Rachel McDowell.
