Our goal is to show you how to live well and make a difference simply by making better choices on organic and circular economy fashion, organic food, health, money and slow travel whilst soaking up the best entertainment and arts journalism.
We’re launching an exclusive crowdfunded community and club with money can’t buy perks, experiences and creative business services, and consultancy to bring you #morefabnews journalism that makes a difference.
Our passion is to make a difference now and for our children, our planet and the next generation of talented ethical journalists by raising money for paid internships and to pay our staff journalists a living salary. There is no limit to our ambitions for this independent organic magazine with style and substance.
At Ethical Hedonist Magazine, we passionately believe that the exciting world of organic and circular economy Living + the Arts, Entertainment, Food, Fashion, and Natural Health needs to be reported, championed, and celebrated. But we can’t do this without proper funding and a living salary for our journalists. Journalism is a profession that needs to be protected and nurtured. We must be paid for our valuable work and our contribution to society so we can bring you the stories that matter for a new organic, circular and ethical age.
That’s why we are launching our very special form of crowdfunding and community where you have a stake in seeing Ethical Hedonist Magazine thrive – so our current staff of two and our paid student journalism internships continue to grow and flourish. Then, we can focus on what we are good at – writing, filming, editing and creating #morefabnews journalism that makes a difference!
Now we are seeking funding from the crowd or tribe, not by giving away equity or borrowing money at unsustainable rates of interest from banks, private equity firms or crowdfunding companies that take too much commission.
My dream as the founder and editor of this organic arts and entertainment magazine is to continue to create and develop Ethical Hedonist Magazine in a way that’s fit for a new golden circular, organic and responsible age. Think of us as a green Vanity Fair meets the Ecologist with a bold dash of organic and circular futurism! Our goal is to be the best organic magazine with exciting, well-crafted and aspirational journalism that matters on – Arts + entertainment with an ethical and social impact edge plus – sustainable fashion, organic +biodynamic food, health+ wellbeing, functional medicine, slow travel and impact money and investing.

Gwynnie graduated from Kingston University in the summer of 2019 with a joint BA Hons degree in Media + Communications and Sociology. Gwynnie interned at Ethical Hedonist on placement and assisted our editor AJ with research, food, fashion and health articles, and layout and design. She has proved to be an outstanding editorial assistant. She loves and excels at food, fashion, and health journalism and has displayed a flair for magazine design and illustration, too.
Gwynnie is passionate about forging a career in journalism and helping Ethical Hedonist to flourish, grow, and inspire the world to go organic for our planet. The magazine is inspired by our journalist founder, Alison Jane’s life-long passion for organic and biodynamic regenerative agriculture. AJ became organic during her time at Bangor Uni, thanks to an amazing higgeldy piggeldy organic bakery that was just like Hogwarts. It’s all thanks to delicious sourdough bread and sublimely sticky organic Chelsea buns marbled with cinnamon!
AJ is a leading British journalist, organic and sustainable expert, and storyteller for iconic global brands. AJ spent a decade at the Times as a contributing feature writer and fashion editor. She has interviewed everyone from David Attenborough to Keira Knightley to Iman, Karl Largerfeld and the Stars of Downton Abbey. She was the first leading UK journalist to write about and champion sustainable fashion for You Magazine with an interview with Sienna Miller, who told the world to buy People Tree organic cotton knickers. AJ also created an influential upcycled fashion feature at a waste recycling centre with Bono’s wife Alison Hewson and the daughter’s of Brit rock n roll royalty. The year was 2005 – way before the rest of the media began to talk about sustainable fashion.
Our core pillars are to work with compassion, transparency and ethics to create an organic magazine that is highly informative, inspirational, and aspirational – leading the way for a new organic, circular and responsible age! With the money we raise, 25% will provide scholarships and bursaries to students and more seasoned journalists disadvantaged by technology to write for Ethical Hedonist Magazine.

A new age where organic, circular economy, Fairtrade, Made in Britain, country of origin and sustainable luxury brands rule the roost and become mainstream!
