Astronaut Scott Kelly holds the record for spending the longest time in space. Now he is aiming to do his bit to try and rid the earth of single use plastic bottles and put the sparkle back into everyday life.
There’s a lot of C02 in space. It’s a serious problem for astronauts. But as we know, the best inventions often occur as a direct response to a problem.
Now Scott Kelly has come up with an ingenious innovation to harness excess Co2 back on earth. The astronaut has teamed up with SodaStream to create the Sparkle Me – a unique SodaStream personal device that allows the user to carbonate excess gas in the digestive system into sparkling water on demand.
Users can self sparkle their water directly by utilizing the build-up of gas in the human body by blowing into a unique bottle attachment which creates instant bubbles.
Ingenious! Scott Kelly your are a sustainable, eco hero! Now no one needs to buy sparkling water in a plastic bottle ever again. Tell your friends, tell the world.
SodaStream makes reusable products for at-home sparkling beverage preparation.
