Journalist, editor and sustainable fashion expert, Alison Jane Reid, interviews Edwina Ehrman, curator of the Fashioned from Nature Exhibition at the V&A Museum, London. In this in-depth documentary style interview, AJ discusses the complex historical relationship between fashion and nature and how fashion has exploited nature for centuries. The interview includes a clip of Emma Watson’s Met Gala 2016 gown, created from upcycled plastic bottles, and a fascinating discussion about the growth of the circular economy and the rise of high tech fashion textile companies who are harnessing science and alchemy to create new gen, luxurious, sustainable fashion textiles from food waste and post-consumer waste. The new circular fashion fabrics include the curiously inventive fruity fibres – apple leather, Orange Fiber, Mycotex and Pinatex.  Watch the documentary now, share and comment and help us reach the world with good journalism and storytelling on hot topics that matter.
