With September approaching it’s time to get our wardrobes ready for the cold season. The EH fashion team is here to help you do it in style without giving up the warmth and comfort of the most exquisite woolen, made in Britain garments.
This week we picked three of the most versatile and elegant knitwear must-haves from the Celtic&Co A/W 1025-16 collection and we dressed them up ethical-hedonist style.
A svelte, clever woolen version of the Little Black Dress, the V-neck Henley Jumper Dress will keep you warm on the coldest nights, softly wrapping you up and enhancing your figure with its simple, flattering lines. Knitted in pure Geelong lambswool and embellished by a line of mother-of-pearl buttons, this sensual charcoal dress is very easy to dress up to take you from day to night. We did it with a fabulously alluring, veiled hat designed by Stephen Jones for Emanuel Ungaro and with a pair of artisan, handmade Chie Mihara suede leather shoes, taking both comfort and chic to dizzy heights. You can thank us later!
Nothing will help you face the uneasy transition from Summer to Autumn better than this Donegal wool coatigan. Bringing the warmth of a coat together with the flexible softness of wool, this must-have will get you through the cold season with a aplomb! Simple and classy, it stands out for the dram of an asymmetric neckline that can be pinned up with a gorgeous brooch to give extra protection on a windy day. To maximise glamour we matched it with this black turban by Rosie Sudgeon made of soft, Scottish new cashmere and a pair of handmade swirl silver earrings by People Tree. Try it with these Think ankle leather boots to perfect the boho-chic look. You’ll feel invincible, guaranteed.
Possibly the most versatile garment in every woman’s wardrobe, the A/W 2015-16 winner is the Moss-stitch Merino Roll Neck Jumper in light grey lambswool. Every gal needs at least one or five! The super soft texture will flatter your figure and the loose roll neck looks great with your hair up in a ponytail. We went for a casual-chic look and chose a pair of black stretch slim fit trousers by People Tree in organic Fairtrade cotton, tres Audrey style. All you need to enhance this extremely signee outfit is a couple of luxury accessories, so we opted for this 3D Flower Necklace by Ben de Lisi and these Bizi Ballet embroidered ballerinas by Meher Kakalia, handmade in soft leather to fit like a glove and attract attention. And voila! You’re ready to step into Autumn like an emerald princess!
