Rosy, Staff Nurse, from Berkshire, aged 40, married with two children
The Problem: Anxiety, low moods, headaches, excessive sweating, pre-menstrual tension
Matt ‘s view
Rosy came to my clinic to see if I could help her with high levels of stress and anxiety which she had been experiencing for a few years. This was coupled with some troubling physical symptoms including headaches and sweating, which grew worse when she felt under pressure.
“ I didn’t know what was causing my anxiety before I went to see Matt. I took Nurofen for the headaches and struggled with the anxiety feelings and the very bad pms symptoms.
I didn’t want to go to my GP because I knew I would be offered anti-depressants, which I didn’t want to take.
The Consultation, from Rosy’s point of view
“The first consultation was brilliant. Matt is very thorough and really listens. He takes time to find out what really going on. I saw him four or five times over several months and he gave me two or three different remedies. I found that the anxiety began to reduce fairly quickly along with the headaches, sweating and PMS; but to get the stress levels to a healthy level took a little longer. Matt helped me realise that the problem was that I was out of touch with myself, and living life as others wanted me to, not how I wanted to, and that was the problem. Matt gave me remedies to strengthen my core and inner resolve. Now, three years on, the anxiety is much better and I know what the triggers are, and how to avoid them.
Matt’s Homeopathic Approach
The key to the homeopathic prescription we found for her was a remedy suited to how she was feeling mentally and emotionally at the time. After taking the remedy over a few weeks her anxiety and stress levels began to reduce, which in turn reduced her physical symptoms fairly quickly. Then we looked at why she felt she had arrived in this situation, and we discussed ways to create relaxation and stay in charge of her own future from now on.
One of the beauties of Homeopathy is that the right prescription can have a wonderful effect on the body, helping it to overcome mental and emotional symptoms naturally and gently, in many cases pretty quickly. Stress and anxiety are up there with the most common ailments that I see in my clinic. They can have many other health consequences such as poor sleep or digestive, skin, hormonal, and low immunity problems. I find that treating the underlying cause of the problem like we did with Rosy, is far the best way give yourself a happy and healthy future.
