The Zetter is a quirky hotel with an eco outlook located in historic Clerkenwell, one of London’s most uber fashionable neighbourhoods. The hotel looks out onto the historic cobblestones of St John’s Square and offers vintage-modern style rooms, each with their own, individual design.
Perhaps the most interesting and eco-friendly part of this hotel is its water supply. Taken directly from a borehole that was built to take spring water from directly under the hotel, this innovative approach fits its fairly laid back, eccentric style. As water forms such a crucial, and often problematic, point in the hotel industry, the Zetter’s unique supply cements its status as hotel with sustainability at its core. It doesn’t hurt that its air conditioning, that harmful staple of the hospitality industry, is set to turn off when a window is opened in the bedroom – an incredibly nifty idea.
