March Horoscope by Victor Olliver

March 2015

Aries

Aries

March 21-April 20

Even if you’re determined to lie in bed all month medicated on Tramadol, this will somehow turn out to be a highly eventful month, full of incident. It’s not just that Sun enters Aries on the 20th and rebellious Uranus lies in wait here. Ruler Mars already transits your sign as does Venus – and Mercury pops in at the close. In other words, you’re turning back into the old Aries we know and love – pushy, noisy; ever so bumptious. Yet don’t forget what you’ve learned in the last weeks as you navel-gazed and cloud-gawped or plotted – this phase is still ongoing this month, and may feel intense around the 18th as Mercury joins Neptune? Venus is your image consultant to the 17th urging you to beautify and re-think image. This is when teeth get capped, hair is re-coloured and crow’s feet do a laser-flier. Romantically and sexually, boldness is pronounced both in you and in potential love mates. Wishy-washy doesn’t do it for you.

Taurus

Taurus

April 21-May 21

If I say this month and next heralds a ‘quieter’ time in your life, do not imagine this means ‘uneventful’, ‘dull’ or ‘isolated’. It is perfectly possible to live a life rich in soap opera and opportunity yet also be subject to the inward, strengthened pull towards your own thoughts, company or ideas that aid self-exploration, psychologically or spiritually. It all depends on your temperament, beliefs, life situation. With Venus and Mars in Pisces’ traditional house, soulfulness and the care of others will be shaping your direction to a greater extent – this intensifies from the 20th when the Sun arrives here quickly followed by Mercury. This is an excellent period also for research, for settling long, drawn-out problems and for addressing your own thoughts and behavior that may be self-defeating. This is the time to review your year. 13th-31st sees many possible discussions about benevolent group activity or business of any kind, with Mercury in Aquarius’ traditional home: your ideals or dreams are uppermost in mind – certainly take any opportunity to advance a hope through an association of like-minds.

Gemini

Gemini

May 22-June 21

Life outside the home should feel adventurous, a little spine-tingling. You’re in your element exploring new social worlds – this trend is due to continue with Mars in Aries dignity till end of month. And 4th -5th holds a surprise from schmoozing when Venus conjoins Uranus. The home is more complicated. Virgo Full Moon on the 5th could this month stir up domestic resentment at your out-of-doors activities – or something you do is displeasing one of your loved ones. What to do? Just carry on. March is not a time to curl up with the kitty as winter clings on. 9th-12th is a phase to beware because desires to be free of a restriction or responsibility could prompt you to act recklessly or precipitately. Mars and Uranus together are always combustible, and with Pluto involved too, you may imagine you’re close to a personal transformation (the truth is duller: you’re in a long process of transformation). Pisces Total Solar Eclipse on the 20th that in the next six months or so, major advances can be made in career and status lift. There’s no question that promotion, pay rise, financial improvement through these, or career re-direction, is distinctly likely.

Cancer

Cancer

Featured Horoscope – Cancer By Life Surfing Astrologer – Victor Olliver

June 22-July 22

Career-wise – and possibly socially, too – this is the most dynamic time of the year for you. I don’t say you’ll be feeling all cosy and safe. Cancer traditionally is pictured as preferring the safety and security of a comfortable abode – or predictable life condition – yet the truth is much more interesting. Essentially, you may be ‘conservative’, not always relishing change for its own sake. But now, with Jupiter trine Uranus, another mood reigns: you accept that to get what you want (in career, status or finance) you must embrace risk or unorthodoxy or thinking outside of a box. More invitations (to April 11th) to social gatherings can be expected. Around 23rd-24th, someone could open up your world in some way – either inspiring an idea or linking you with artistic or idealistic people/groups.25th-26th is also an excellent phase for career results from hard/serious work, when Sun trines Saturn retrograde. Professionalism will be appreciated.

Leo

Leo

July 23-August 23

This is an important month for acknowledging the instinct for adventure or for changing your life in some key area. Restlessness could be a feature if you feel held back or tied. Sometimes we have to put a duty above desire or pull. A book such as this cannot anticipate every life situation: yet without question, all Leos will feel ready to roam, ready to rumble, even if presently confined. The major focus though is on the bigger picture of your life, on areas to do with overseas or travel or study or law or philosophy/ethics or even the great outdoors. Whether you’re at the dreaming, scheming or (self-) redeeming stage, it makes no matter: Jupiter trine Uranus (since February 25 to March 10) opens up opportunity to take the next step along the road you believe releases you from boredom or restriction towards a form of self-realisation.

Virgo

Virgo

August 24-September 22

Since the 25th last month, a Jupiter/Uranus trine will have subtly aided all behind-the-scenes activity (be this writing, attending to friends/family/self; most solo processes), will have fed your imaginative ingenuity, insightfulness into others; and surfed financial advantage vis-à-vis shared resources, bank loans, insurance, pensions. Essentially, raised potential for emotional intelligence can draw opportunity to you to the 10th. In practice, work on the people close to you; strive to understand them better. Rewards derive as a by-product, indirectly, from your actions. 9th-12th is a particularly potent time for hunches and intuitive insight (Mars conjunct Uranus in Aries in Scorpio’s old house). But square Pluto can provoke discord if impatience is allowed to intrude (the 17th should also be watched for signs of your inner volatility when the Uranus/Pluto square is exact). Pisces Total Solar Eclipse on the 20th, effective now and for up to six months, is powerful and has to do with changes in the material set-up in any kind of partnership or with deepening intimacy in a bond or with mystical or spiritual interest. One possible manifestation of this is that money’s released to enable a joint decision.

Libra

Libra

September 23-October 23

The sweet mood follows you into March. I say ‘sweet’: what I mean is, no matter what you actually feel about someone or a group of people, you’ll put other considerations before rancour or reproach. Life’s urging you to get-along with others – this is a time when working collegially for a common purpose is the best way. Romantically, some of you will be more inclined to get involved or committed. Those who must flatter for a living – that’s more than we like to think – are in their element now. The Pisces Total Solar Eclipse on the 20th has a health theme running for the next six months: opportunities will be found to improve life habits, which may require alterations in work routines and responsibilities. On the 20th, also, Sun enters the traditional domain of Libra (in Aries) – because the Solar Eclipse occurred on the Pisces/Aries cusp the following has raised significance now and the in six months ahead: this signals a high point for any kind of partnership, close friendships, diplomacy, negotiation, love affairs and romance.

Scorpio

scorpio

October 23-November 22

Late last month, an improvement trend in the work/career area commenced, lasting till March 10 under a Jupiter/Uranus trine. A feature of this phase is pursuit or involvement in whatever falls under the labels of ‘unusual’ or ‘against the grain’. Career may now take a turn for the better which you hadn’t foreseen or a work project is undertaken that marks some kind of departure from normal practice. You may feel freed-up somewhat in consequence (if not now, a bit later) – and a calculated risk is worth taking. Pisces Total Solar Eclipse on the 20th is the month’s biggest event, which could shape matters up to six months from now. There’s a need for self-expression – through passionate interests. And your own libido and need for affection rise and need acknowledgement. For some, this intensification of creative drive could be allied to heightened bolshie-ness at work, expressed or implied. Use this time to kick-start a project that means so much to you. Neptune close by favours arts, spirituality, photography, service and romance – especially around 23rd-24th when a strengthened Taurus Venus sextiles an already powerful Neptune.

Sagittarius

Sagitarius

November 23-December 21

Last month there was no space to mention a life-enhancing new trend involving your ruler Jupiter which began on February 25 and runs through to March 10. The planet’s trine to Uranus makes this an especially positive time for creative, ‘passion’ endeavours that are pioneering and linked to education, philosophy/ethics/spirituality, law, publishing, distant travel, foreign cultures or environmentalism – or any area which to you amounts to a move into new territory. A sudden opportunity (arising perhaps from your own background work) to develop in one of these areas can be expected. The big cosmic event of this month is Pisces Total Solar Eclipse on the 20th whose influence can last up to six months. It occurs in your home/family house, but because it is so close to Aries (by minutes) I would say the eclipse has a little bearing on your personal/creative energies, too. In this phase you’re making significant decisions on the structure or nature of your home – such as repairs – and/or certain relationships in your domestic world. If you’re very unhappy with a set-up, this could be a time you take radical steps. For most, improvement is the theme.

Capricorn

Capricorn

December 22-January 20

The month could have a restless feel to it if you’re feeling unduly bound by routine or responsibility. Virgo Full Moon on 5th – valid for about a fortnight – plays well to an urge to study or travel or embark on something entirely fresh (such as a spiritual practice): to what extent you express this desire is another matter, according to circumstances. Try to vent in some way – if only by reading a stimulating book or doing something out of the ordinary, such as enjoying the great outdoors. The big cosmic event of the month on the 20th is the Pisces Total Solar Eclipse in your solar 3rd house (but so late that it may touch on domestic matters, too, in Aries). Its effect may be felt straightaway with repercussions up to six months from now. This eclipse corresponds to a raised desire for new experience (rather like the Full Moon earlier this month): perhaps you want to embark on a new study course, or in some other way, raise your awareness of a subject. Photography, art, healing or mysticism could be one of your interests among other choices. If the domestic world is affected (debatable) by the eclipse, a residential move or renovations may be in the planning.

Aquarius

Aquarius

January 21-February 19

The financial themes of last month follow you through to the 20th. A developing theme of March is work environment (and/or neighbourhood), communications and contacts, with Venus and Mars already in the solar 3rd house (associated with Gemini): your co-ruler Uranus is a long-term occupant of this domain, raising the volume of your highly independent viewpoint, opening you up to new ideas and ways of doing things and ensuring a fast traffic of new allies and friends. Social life is extra-stimulating therefore. Writers and speakers among Aquarius are in their element, and not just this month or year. The big cosmic event of March is the Pisces Total Solar Eclipse on the 20th (with effect for up to six months). The essential thrust of this event is financial and its message is to control spending and resist temptations of extravagance. Possibly for some, tightening of financial purse strings goes hand-in-hand with a greater focus on study or research to refine one’s message to the world. 25th-26th is an excellent phase to demonstrate a sense of responsibility or to apply rigour in determining who among your friends and associates is worthy of trust. Your serious no-nonsense side benefits you.

Pisces

Pisces

February 20-March 20

4th-5th is a stimulating moment in a progressive phase: unusual associates, or a new way of approaching business, could be a feature under a Venus/Uranus conjunction. You’re quite determined to go it alone or do something out of the ordinary, with financial significance. It’s worth noting at this point that the epic Uranus/Pluto square is still ongoing – at its strongest on the 16th/17th, affecting income and dreams; or moral values and idealistic action: there’s much determination in you to alter the basis on which money is, and/or moral decisions are, made; but an impatience to break the mould and start again could be destructive. The process cannot be forced by gestures – allow it to take its course with reduced likelihood of losing. Pisces Total Solar Eclipse, valid for up to six months, on the 20th, signals a major decision on personal development and expansion and how to become more self-assertive. 25th-26th, when Sun trines Saturn, definitely ties your new personal dynamism to a career happening – someone in authority likes what they see in you.
