So what makes People Tree so special, and why should you check out that dancing girl print dress by Orla Keily, or a sassy, glam T-shirt by hot artist and designer, Simeon Farrar? Because the quality and attention to detail is something rather special. Don’t tell anyone that I mentioned this, but this is also a rather clever and lovely way to invest in covetable designer fashion for a whole lot less!
You can invest in heirloom fashion at near High Street prices, knowing that they really do champion wonderful artisan skills from the most delicate hand embroidery, to hand loom work and all with Fairtrade principles at the core of everything People Tree do. For Spring Summer 2014, I have fallen in love with Simeon Farrar’s glamorous, statement, fringed tees, and People Tree has so many darling dresses, that one just isn’t enough. I will be investing in the adorable cat print shift with essential, Twiggy-esque, Peter Pan Collar and the Orla Keily dancing girls sun dress which is just about as sublime as a high summer dress can be – tres Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. For work I have got my eye on the smart and oh so sassy shorts in the sweetest candy pink (naturally). Oh, and I will be stocking up on gauzy lace cardigans to throw over dresses when there is a chill in the air and buying all my girlfriends friendship star bracelets.
So what will you fall in love with this summer at People Tree? Alison Jane Reid
