Marques de CalatravaSummer isn’t over just yet and I thoroughly recommend you make a special trip to your nearest Waitrose to snaffle a bottle of my favourite organic Tempranillo Rosé before there is absolutely none left until next year.

This luscious, darkly pink wine hits the spot, as I don’t enjoy watery wines or sickly sweet syrupy rosés. It’s well made, satisfying, with strawberry and plum aromas and there’s a delicious, lingering finish. My only criticism: it comes with a plastic cork and can vary in taste – but only between good and deliciously jammy and offers very good value at £6.79.
