Visiting a friend’s office in Mayfair, I decided to see if I could treat myself to a magnificent lunch for less £5.00. I came away from the deli counter at Fortnum & Mason with six wafer-thin slices of English Bresaola for £3.15 and a delicious, tangy salad of feta, mint and artichokes for £1.50 – all exquisitely wrapped and packaged in gorgeous little gold boxes and a feast for £4.65.
